A variety of factors can contribute to our nail’s poor health and slow growth, such as health problems, nutritional deficiencies, hormonal changes, exposure to harsh cleansing products, medication or natural aging. Unfortunately, many of us face the same problems.

The principal protein of our nails -keratin- is the same to our hair.

Of course, there are plenty nail strengthening products available in the market, but first let’s take a look at a simple, inexpensive – yet effective – daily extra virgin olive oil DIY treatment, for the enchantment of your nail’s natural beauty and strength.

Extra virgin olive oil is the best possible treatment for nail nourishment, because it contains vitamin E, which will improve blood circulation, helping nails to grow faster and will repair damaged, thin, brittle nails.

Nail Conditioner

You need:

·      50ml of Kardamas Extra Virgin Olive Oil

·      5-10 drops of fresh lemon juice

·      A small glass container

Pour the ingredients in the glass container and give the mixture a good stir.

Apply it on your nails and cuticles with a cotton bud and smoothly massage it for five minutes before going to bed (leave the mixture on overnight).

Olive oil will nourish your nails and lemon juice will remove any stains left from nail polish.

Store the mixture in the fridge and repeat the treatment daily.

Alternatively, you can bathe your nails in a Kardamas Extra Virgin Olive Oil Bath:

The warm oil will provide your nails and cuticles with moisturization and will make them significantly healthier and, therefore, improve their image.

Keep in mind that a healthy diet will help you get strong and healthy nails.

What about dry hands and cracked heels?

Simply apply a few drops of olive oil on dry hands and cracked heels and rub smoothly.

Put on a pair of cotton gloves and socks and leave it on for as long as you can.
